Missouri Poll Worker Trainers

The Help America Vote Act (HAVA) of 2002 is federal legislation that provides funds to states to improve elections. Poll worker training is one of many election improvements undertaken by the State of Missouri under HAVA. You can read more about HAVA at: http://sos.mo.gov/elections/hava.

In order to comply with HAVA, county clerks and election authorities are required to deliver updated training to poll workers.

University of Missouri Extension has worked with the Missouri Secretary of State Election Division and the Poll Worker Training Advisory Committee to develop a comprehensive training program based on HAVA regulations, election laws, and administrative rules.
