U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS PROJECTS CLOSED TO PUBLIC

Portland, Ore. -- All U.S. Army Corps of Engineers projects in Oregon are closed to public access today.

These projects include: Bonneville, The Dalles and John Day lock and dams on the Columbia River; Big Cliff, Detroit, Foster, Cougar, Green Peter, Dexter, Lookout Point, Hills Creek, Cottage Grove, Dorena, Fall Creek, Fern Ridge and Blue River in the Willamette Valley; and Lost Creek and Applegate projects in the Rogue Basin.

No direct threasts have been received. The closures are precautionary only.

All visitors facilities, fishing access areas, roadways across spillways or powerhouse roads will be closed to the public. Scheduled tours are cancelled.
