Welcome to Utah State University cooperative extension in Salt Lake County.  The Salt Lake County Extension provides informal education to you through workshops, mass media, demonstrations, 4-H clubs, Master Gardener Volunteers, telephone consultations, individual and group meetings, and educational bulletins.

Our focus is to provide unbiased research based educational programs that will enhance the quality of life for the citizens of the Salt Lake County.

Master Gardener January Meeting - Consider Indoor Plants
Jan 15, 2009, (Thur) 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM.   It's the middle of winter, want to garden?  Consider indoor plants.  Heidi Wayman will cover the ABC's of indoor plants.  Class is FREE and open to the public.

Jan 17, 2009 (Sat) 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Topics include how to: prepare financially, determine the right home for you, find 1st time homebuyer grant programs, shop for a realtor, lender and title company, close the deal and handle life as a home owner.

 My Pyramid - A New Look at Nutrition and Health (SNAP class)
Jan 21, 2009, 2:00 pm- 3:30 pm OR 5:30 pm -7:00 pm
Come take a look inside the Pyramid.  You will discover the balance to becoming a healthier YOU!  This class is FREE.

Personal Financial Management Class
Jan 22, 2009 (Thu) 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm.  Class will cover basics of communication & personal planning, managing your money, buyer beware, restoring credit and the wise use of credit.
