Loan Policies
Borrowing procedures differ for New Jersey government
employees and the general public.
Most materials, except for reference items, are available for loan
to New Jersey state government staff for four to six weeks with
possible renewal. Borrowed items must be returned earlier if recalled.
Materials received from an interlibrary loan (ILL) must be returned
on time so that borrowing privileges are not jeopardized.
People outside of New Jersey state government, who wish to borrow
materials should contact the library
or initiate interlibrary loan requests through local public, academic
or institutional libraries.
Members of the general public are welcome to use materials on site
by appointment and recommend materials
for purchase.
The library will accept gifts, print or nonprint, but cannot guarantee
their retention.
