Vt. Man Fights For Bible Verse Vanity Plate In Court
Used car dealer Shawn Byrne tried to get JN36TN —a reference to John 3:16 — as a personalized license plate. His request was rejected by the state of Vermont, which has a no-religion policy for vanity plates. Now it's up to an appeals court to decide if that rule is a violation of the First Amendment. ()
