This set of training resource pages outlines strategies and resources which can be useful in preparing training sessions on Web accessibility.
These resource pages are intended to be used by experienced trainers, with expertise in W3C's Web accessibility solutions. Specific approaches described in these materials are intended as suggestions only; any training should be customized for the individual audience.
1. Determine audience's objectives
- Find out audience's needs and expectations in advance.
- Establish learning objectives with training host.
2. Develop curriculum
- Review hypothetical curriculum outlines for different audiences.
3. Choose training modules
- Choose training modules to meet selected learning objectives.
4. Examine other trainers' perspectives
- Read these tips from a variety of trainers.
5. Set up resources in advance
- Consider online or off-line presentation modes.
- Arrange equipment and software.
- Order W3C/WAI materials in advance.
- Check need for accessible formats.
