Professor Public History - Middle Tennessee State Univ.


The Department of History at Middle Tennessee State University seeks applications for a tenure-track professor of Public History (#126030), Rank Open; position begins August 2009. PhD in History, or related public history field is required by appointment date, the specialization in a Public History field is open. We seek candidates who are looking for a position of increasing responsibility in a graduate program that balances scholarship with praxis in archives, museums, historic preservation, cultural resources management, and new media. Excellence in teaching, research/creative activity and service is expected for the position. Salary and rank commensurate with experience.
