By eliminating dams and improving channels and stream banks, historically endangered rivers CAN be reinvigorated. NJTU is at the forefront of programs organizing, funding, and advocating this important work.

Hands-on help for damaged rivers
Stream clean-ups and bank-stabilization efforts require coordinated, grassroots volunteers who aren't afraid to get wet. NJTU's ten local Chapters devote countless hours working on and around our state's rivers and streams.

NJTU's award-winning Trout-in-the-Classroom program is our bet that a future generation of New Jersey residents will appreciate the importance of clean, cold, running water and share the experience of hands-on conservation.
