2009 Career/Job Fair; Tuesday, February 24, 2009

Salish Kootenai College Career Services, Student Support Services, Indigenous Math and Science Institute (IMSI), and Lake County Job Service would like to invite everyone that is interested to participate in our 2009 Career/Job Fair; Tuesday, February 24, 2009. The Career/Job Fair will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Joe McDonald Health and Wellness Center.

There will be representatives from local, state and national organizations who will be offering full and part-time employment, summer employment, as well as internships and career opportunities. This is a great event for recruiters/employers to meet high school and college student, or any other applicants looking for a career opportunity.

Last year SKC had 78 employment/recruitment agencies participate in the Career/Job Fair. The SKC Career Services would like all students to have exposure to explore job opportunities in their fields of study as well as other areas of interest. This can be accomplished by participating in the Career/Job Fair, by meeting potential employers, and visiting with representatives from at least 50 different careers.

Looking for work? There will also be employers on hand to hire at the 2009 Career/Job fair.

In conjunction with the 2009 SKC Career/Job Fair, Career Services will be providing workshops at the new Arlee/Charlo Theater from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Workshop topics will include:

*Tips & Techniques for Interviewing *SKC Recruiting
*Work Place Etiquette (soft skills) *Disabled Workers
*What Internships are and how they can benefit you
