Marriage Licence Requirements for Manitoba... |

The Marriage Licence must be obtained at least twenty-four (24) hours
prior to the ceremony. It is valid anywhere in Manitoba for three (3) months from the
date of issue.
The parties to the marriage must be present together and over eighteen (18) years of
age.
Proof of age must be shown to the Marriage Licence Issuer.
Acceptable Documents are:
- Birth Certificate
- Citizenship Certificate
- Passport
- Canada Immigration documents
If you don't have these documents, contact Vital Statistics for a list of other acceptable
documents.
Divorced persons must produce their Certificate of Divorce or Decree Absolute.
Widowers or widows must produce a death certificate or newspaper clipping.
All documents must be in English or French.
No blood test is required in Manitoba.
