To this end, the organization's activities are focused on the presentation of conferences, symposia, workshops, field trips and other educational activities dealing with the many different aspects involved in restoration of California native habitats.

SERCAL also publishes a quarterly newsletter, Ecesis, available to all current members. SERCAL's educational programs and activities are planned and implemented by a volunteer Board of Directors, elected by the organization's membership. Membership is open to anyone practicing, teaching or simply interested in the field of ecological restoration. |
