Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld and Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz are in Washington. There are no public or media events on their schedules.
Army Chemical and Biological Defense experts will brief the media on Chemical and Biological Defense Readiness at 10 a.m. EST in the Pentagon Press Briefing Room, 2E781. Initial presentations will be followed by an opportunity for the media to ask questions related to Chemical and Biological Defense. The winning design in the Pentagon Memorial competition will be announced at 1 p.m. in the Pentagon Briefing Room, 2E781. The winning designers will be on hand to discuss their concept.
