Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld is in Washington today. There are no public or media events on his schedule.

Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz will address the American-Turkish Council today at 10:15 a.m. in Washington, D.C. See the press advisory for details.

Later today, at 4:30 p.m., Deputy Secretary Wolfowitz will host an honor cordon to welcome Minister of Defense Boyko Noev, of Bulgaria, to the Pentagon. See the press advisory for details.

Gen. Henry H. Shelton, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, will speak today in Chicago at a luncheon meeting of the Mid-America Committee. See the press advisory for more details.

The Marine Corps is co-sponsoring a conference on "Expeditionary Solutions for a Gordian World" today and tomorrow in Cambridge, Mass. Other co-sponsors are the Institute for Foreign Policy Analysis and the International Security Studies Program of the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
