Marketing Resources
DeCA's marketing campaigns incorporate traditional public affairs and community involvement as well as cooperative partnerships with industry, exchanges, military community organizations and DoD activities to inform authorized shoppers about the commissary benefit. The ultimate goal of DeCA's marketing efforts is to persuade all active-duty members, retirees, Guard and Reserve personnel and their family members to shop at the commissary regularly and make it their "everyday" store. Some campaigns give special emphasis to E-1 to E-6 and junior officers, plus Guard and Reserve forces.

Family Fun Fitness Festival

Farmer’s Market

Month of the Military Child campaign
- Campaign Overview
- In honor of April, Month of the Military Child, DeCA will offer parents and kids a special opportunity to get on board with a healthy diet. Consuming a diet high in fruits and vegetables, and getting plenty of physical activity can go a long way toward preventing childhood obesity. So, commissaries have invited installation child development centers to attend a commissary tour focused on all the good nutrition to be found in these two food groups. The tours include tips on how mom and dad can be good role models, too.
- All kids, even if they're not part of a tour, can pick up a "Fruit & Veggie Eater Meter," and track their fruit and vegetable consumption for a week. Have mom or dad sign the form then drop it in the box at the commissary and be entered to win a child's bicycle.
