Secretary of Defense William J. Perry will light the Office of the Secretary of Defense Christmas Giving Tree in a ceremony on Dec. 1, 1994 at 2 p.m. (EST), in Room 3E912 of the Pentagon.

Christmas ornaments on the tree represent 200 children of deployed

service members from Pope AFB, N.C., Ft. Bragg, N.C., and 29 Palms, Calif., who have been nominated by local family support services that will benefit from any measure of assistance.
