This bibliography was created to coincide with the exhibition Scrolls
From the Dead Sea: The Ancient Library of Qumran and Modern Scholarship,
which was on display at the Library of Congress from April 29 to
August 1, 1993. Depicted in the banner above is a detail from the
Psalms Scroll,
one of the items displayed in the exhibit.
The bibliography, which lists resources available at the Library
of Congress, is divided into two sections: transcriptions,
reproductions, and reconstructions of the scrolls; and secondary
sources in Western languages concerning the history of the Qumran
community and the scrolls themselves.
