The Department of Treasury provides access to government records
as required in P.L. 1963, c.73(C:47:1A-1 et seq.) as amended and supplemented.
The State Treasurer has created a Government Records Access Unit in the Division
of Administration to handle government records access requests for Treasury divisions
and the Capital City Redevelopment Corporation, Garden State Preservation Trust
and New Jersey Building Authority.
Other agencies, designated in, but not of, Treasury should be contacted directly
for government records access. These agencies are listed
for your convenience.
Before submitting a request for government records, interested parties are
encouraged to visit the State Library or a local library which has copies of many
of our official publications or to explore our website for free on-line access
to many frequently requested documents and other useful information.
An official request for government records access can be submitted on-line
or by printing and mailing/faxing the Government
Records Request form (61k pdf).
To use the form, you must have a PDF viewer, such as Adobe Reader, which can
be downloaded free at the Adobe
web site.
