NAVY

San Juan Construction, Inc. and John Laing International Limited, Montrose, Colo., is being awarded a $34,714,021 firm-fixed-price contract for consolidated projects at U.S. Navy Support Facility, Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory. Work will be performed in Diego Garcia, and is to be completed by April 2007. Contract funds in the amount of $11,869,700 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 18 proposals solicited and three offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Pacific Division, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, is the contracting activity (N62742-01-C-1306).

McDonnell Douglas Corp., Long Beach, Calif. is being awarded a $20,500,000 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price, multiple-award contract (N00019-02-C-3249) for Phase II of the Multi-Mission Maritime Aircraft Program's Component Advanced Development effort. Work will be performed in Puget Sound, Wash. (54 percent) and Long Beach, Calif. (46 percent), and is to be completed in May 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Digital System Resources, Inc.,* Fairfax, Va., is being awarded a $7,826,087 cost-plus-award-fee incrementally funded contract for systems integrator efforts in support of the Surface Electronic Warfare Improvement Program as part of the Small Business Innovative Research Phase III Program. This contract is to provide for 257,929 hours of systems integrator efforts. The systems I ntegrator efforts are to provide recommendations for improvements to the existing Electronic Warfare (EW) system and integrate latest technologies to improve EW capabilities. The contract contains options, which if exercised, would bring the total cumulative value of this contract to $37,173,900. Work will be performed in Fairfax and is to be completed by January 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract is being awarded on a non-competitive basis under the authority of the SBIR Phase III Program. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00024-03-C-5439).

AIR FORCE

Muniz Engineering Inc., Houston is being awarded a $9, 710,000 indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity contract to provide for the DoD Shuttle and International Space Station Human Spaceflight Payloads contract. The integration contractor will provide contract services to support DoD payloads on the National aeronautics and Space Administration's Space Shuttle International Space Station. The contractor is responsible for the integration and operation of designed payload elements and ground support equipment; maintenance of the DoD Payload Operations Control Center; performing configuration management functions for documents and equipment; and other functions within the scope of the statement of work. At this time, $50,000 of the funds has been obligated. Solicitation was done electronically in October 2002 and negotiations were completed in February 2003. This work will be completed by second quarter of fiscal year 2008. The Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base is the contracting activity (F04701-03-D-0205).
