ARMY

General Dynamics Land Systems, Warren, Mich., was awarded a delivery order amount of $32,374,805 as part of a $145,596,099 firm-fixed-price contract for 125 vehicle labor assembly sets on Jan. 31, 2003. Work will be performed in Lima, Ohio (77 percent), Scranton, Pa. (20 percent), and Muskegon, Mich. (3 percent), and is to be completed by June 30, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole-source contract initiated on Aug. 15, 2002. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren is the contracting activity (DAAE07-01-G-N001).

General Dynamics Decision Systems, Scottsdale, Ariz., was awarded a $7,000,000 increment as part of a $59,879,190 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the next phase of the Land Warrior program on Jan. 30, 2003. Work will be performed in Scottsdale (33 percent), Sterling Heights, Mich. (25 percent), Falls Church, Va. (13 percent), Mountain View, Calif. (13 percent), Taunton, Mass. (7 percent), Columbus, Ga. (6 percent), Carlsbad, Calif. (2 percent), and Clarksburg, Md. (1 percent), and is to be completed by February 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on Oct. 18, 2002, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity (DAAB07-03-C-N001).

General Dynamics Land Systems Inc., Sterling Heights, Mich., was awarded a $49,729,763 modification to a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for system technical support for the Abrams tank program on Jan. 31, 2003. Work will be performed in Sterling Heights and is to be completed by Sept. 30, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole-source contract initiated on Nov. 23, 2001. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-01-C-N075).

SEI Group Inc., Huntsville, Ala., was awarded a delivery order amount of $573,091 as part of a $20,000,000 firm-fixed-price contract for the Range and Training Land Program on Jan. 30, 2003. The performance location will be determined with each task order, and is to be completed by Jan. 13, 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were six bids solicited on July 19, 2002, and six bids were received. The U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville, Ala., is the contracting activity (DACA87-03-D-0013).

General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products, Burlington, Vt., was awarded an $8,999,999 cost-plus-award-fee contract for system development and demonstration for the Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System on Feb. 3, 2003. Work will be performed in Burlington and is to be completed by July 31, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole-source contract initiated on Dec. 13, 2002. The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH01-03-C-0010).

Raytheon Technical Services Co., Indianapolis was awarded a $6,181,122 firm-fixed-price and time and materials contract for contractor depot level rework and upgrade of the Abrams peculiar material on Jan. 31, 2003. Work will be performed in Indianapolis and is to be completed by Dec. 31, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on June 1, 2001. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (DAAE20-03-C-0045).

NAVY

Northrop Grumman Information Technology, Reston, Va., was awarded a $17,063,402 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the continued development, integration, maintenance and technical support of the maritime implementation of common operating environment (COE), as well as the development of various COE based segments under the IT-21 Block 1 upgrade initiative on Jan. 2. 2003. This option, which if exercised, would bring the total cumulative value of this contract to $22,751,202. Work will be performed in San Diego (42 percent); Reston, Va. (30 percent); Newport News, Va. (16 percent); Austin, Texas (5 percent); Middleton, R.I. (2 percent); Chesapeake, Va. (2 percent); Colorado Springs, Colo. (2 percent); North Charleston, S.C. (1 percent); and is to be completed by December 2003. Contract funds will not expire by the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was procured on a sole-source basis under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, San Diego is the contracting activity (N00039-03-C-0007).

Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock Co., Newport News, Va., is being awarded an $11,852,868 cost-plus-fixed-fee modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-01-C-2104) to exercise an option for design agent, engineering and technical support, as well as test and evaluation efforts on current and future submarine platforms in support of program executive office for submarines. Work will be performed in Newport News and is to be completed by February 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
