Art Museums

Children's Museums

"We're bored" is an expression of the past in New Jersey when you take the kids to explore New Jersey's children's museums. These hands-on museums offer larger-than-life, kid-powered interactive exhibit areas that encourage visitors to touch, discover and create.

NJ State Museum

The Main Building of the New Jersey State Museum reopened in May 2008 after completing important environmental upgrades and renovations to enhance exhibitions and collection preservation capabilities. A series of exhibitions, special events and programs showcasing entirely new experiences, as well as the Museum's four distinct collection areas - Archaeology / Ethnology, Cultural History, Fine Art and Natural History - are scheduled for 2009.
