CDC’s Coordinating Office for Terrorism Preparedness and Emergency Response Releases Systems Research Funding Opportunity Announcement

CDC’s Coordinating Office for Terrorism Preparedness and Emergency Response (COTPER) invites accredited Schools of Public Health to submit grant applications for the development of Preparedness and Emergency Response Research Centers (PERRCs) that will investigate the structure, capabilities, and performance of public health systems for preparedness and emergency response activities.
COTPER intends to commit a total of approximately $9 million in fiscal year 2008 funds to support five to seven program project centers with up to five multidisciplinary, inter-related, and interdependent research projects. A core component will also be funded to enhance the progress and productivity in the research projects and to direct other activities toward achieving the goals of the program.
Eligible Organizations
Application for the research program is open to all accredited schools of public health individually or in partnership with other schools or organizations engaged in public health preparedness activities.
