Resource Advisory Commitee (RAC) Information
There are two resource advisory committees (RACs) operating in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest.
The Tri County RAC covers Powell, Granite, and Deer Lodge counties and includes lands in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge, Lolo, Helena, and Flathead national forests.
The Southwest Montana RAC covers Madison, Beaverhead, Jefferson, and Silver Bow counties and includes lands in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge, Helena, and Gallatin national forests.
They are being reorganized under legislation passed in September 2008. For more information go to http://www.fs.fed.us/srs/

RAC members must be residents of Montana and represent specific interests spelled out in law. They do not need to be residents of the counties covered by the RAC.
