Optional Dude Fire Staff Ride (Field Trip) - May 1, 2009
In 1990, six firefighters died and five others were badly burned on the Dude Fire in nearby Payson, Arizona. Plans are underway for a Staff Ride to the site of the Dude Fire, where participants will be able to walk in the firefighters footsteps, to learn from their perspectives, and reflect on the safety legacy of that fire.
