Working hand in hand to provide Oklahoma with Quality Child Care
Oklahoma Child Care Services (Licensing)

Child Care Licensing is managed by Oklahoma Child Care Services. 

Child care licensing specialists provide on-site inspection, technical assistance and consultation to child care facilities, ensuring quality of care and the enforcement of minimum requirements.

 

Services to enhance quality of child care and assist parents are provided through partnerships with other organizations

The Child Care program helps ensure trained supervision, nutrition and education for children while their parents or caregivers are at work, in training or receiving an education. In addition, the Child Care program covers children who are in danger of being abused, neglected or exploited.  

 

 

This unit also manages contracts with providers who receive subsidy payments.

Proposed requirement revisions were mailed to to all child care centers, school-age programs, part-day programs, day camps, drop-in centers and centers caring for sick children.  These proposed revisions will not affect family child care homes.  If you received a copy of the proposed requirements and would like to share your comments, please click on the link below.  The deadline for comments is midnight, on Sunday, October 28.
