VA MidSouth Healthcare Network

Volunteer or Give

VA MidSouth Healthcare Network depends on the goodwill of benefactors and volunteers who wish to give something back to America's heroes.

Volunteering

Volunteers provide many important functions throughout the Medical Centers and help make patients' stay more enjoyable. Volunteers perform a number of services, and a volunteer's talents are closely matched with a broad range of assignments.

To volunteer, call or visit your nearest VA Medical Center Voluntary Service Office. They will be happy to receive your application or discuss how you can help us in VISN 9's mission to provide comfort and care to America's veterans.

Giving

Cash donations are used for the comfort and welfare of veteran patients, including but not limited to —

  • personal hygiene products
  • refreshment supplies
  • cable television
  • recreational activities

Non-cash contributions are used to make patients' stay more enjoyable. Items which are accepted include —

  • magazines
  • coffee and cookies
  • new or gently used clothing
