At the Louisville VA Medical Center, we have established a number of procedures to assist you in getting an appointment without a long delay. Our goals are simple —

• you should be able to see your primary care provider within one to two business days
• you should have faster access to speciality care

Changing Your Appointment

If you need to cancel an existing appointment, please contact us as soon as you know you will not be able to keep your appointment.  This courtesy allows us to reschedule your appointment sooner as well as schedule a fellow veteran for your original appointment time.  Please call 502.287.4000 (toll-free 1.800.376.8387) and press option 2.

If you need to cancel an appointment for any clinic between 4:30 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. or all day on weekends or holidays, please call 502.287.4000 (toll-free 1.800.376.8387) and press option 2 followed by option 1.
