A Framework for Management
Recognizing that evidence-based management is as important as evidence-based clinical
practice in providing quality service to our veterans, HSR&D leaders are committed to
expanding their investment in organizational and management research. In keeping with
this commitment, MDRC sponsored a series of meetings and workshops to strengthen
management research in VA.
This section is a product of those activities. By providing a conceptual framework and
highlighting methodological challenges in conducting management research, we hope to
stimulate interest in conducting management research in VA; to increase and develop
skills in conducting management research; and to offer opportunities for researchers
to explore potential collaborations with other researchers with similar interests.
