The Columbia spotted frog occurs in central and northeastern Nevada in the Humboldt and Columbia River basins.

Because these three species are so sensitive and susceptible to extinction, protection and close management of these species is critical. While enjoying the beauty of the Humboldt-Toiyabe if you encounter one of these amphibians, please do not touch or collect them. These amphibian species can be easily harmed if touched or collected improperly. For more detailed information regarding these species please click on the available links.
