Inauguration program: live ceremony featuring Jerry Wallace, retired National Archives archivist and historian for three presidential inaugural committees, on January 20 at 9:30 a.m. in the Library Auditorium. Later in the day Jerry Wallace will present "Calvin Coolidge: Our First Radio President" at 7:00 p.m. in the Visitors Center Auditorium.
Preservation Workshop: Tips and advice on preserving your important documents and family history. February 14, from 9:00 a.m. to noon in the Visitors Center Auditorium.

Ike and Baseball: now through May 31, 2009 in the Eisenhower Presidential Library 2nd Floor Gallery. This exhibit features correspondence between Eisenhower and famous major league players, photographs, museum artifacts and recently released Secret Service reports!

Abilene Resident Receives National Award: A volunteer at the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum, Elinor Haas, will receive the 2008 prestigious Weidman Outstanding Volunteer Service Award from the National Archives and Records Administration on December 4 at a ceremony in College Park, Maryland. The awards ceremony will be webcast live at noon in the auditorium of the Eisenhower Presidential Library. The public is invited to attend free of charge. more . . .

Five Star Leaders: Five Star Leaders is an experiential-learning leadership program which challenges students in grades 8-12, college students, and adults to work together to solve a problem, confront a crisis, or accomplish a mission. Armed with original documents and knowledge of history and leadership, students take on the same challenges as those experienced by historical figures.
