New Funding Announcement

Clinical Science R&D Service, in joint collaboration with the National Institute of Mental Health, announces a new opportunity for funding, "Networks for Development PTSD Risk Assessment Tools". This solicitation will utilize electronic submission of proposals to NIH via the R21 mechanism. Details are described in the following link: http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/rfa-files/RFA-MH-09-060.html

This RFA provides VA investigators an opportunity to compete for funding from VA and NIMH to identify clinically useful metrics for PTSD risk assessment that will inform early intervention research, emergency medicine, and other clinicians about who might benefit most from early intervention after trauma. It will be important to have research and clinical decision tools that are sensitive to and meaningful for diverse populations of trauma survivors. Applicants are strongly encouraged to consider the potential impact of multiple socio-demographic characteristics and other factors in choosing data sets for exploration.

Please note that all CSRD requirements for eligibility must be met. Due to the priority of this topic, this RFA is considered a special solicitation and funding may be awarded in addition to a funded CSRD Merit Review.
