POMAR was arrested June 28, 1982, by U.S. Customs in possession of 1,500 pounds of marijuana. He pleaded guilty and was serving a 2-year sentence at FPC Eglin, near Fort Walton Beach, Fla. On Feb. 3, 1984, Pomar left the prison camp without authorization and was declared to be on escape status. He had approximately six months remaining to be served on his sentence. Pomar has previously done automobile upholstery and body work. He may occasionally travel to New York and Houston.
