• The Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum is part of the National Archives and Records Administration. Use of its grounds and facilities are governed by federal rules and regulations. In order for the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum to make its facility available to the public, it must adhere to the following guidelines:
• Events must be cultural, recreational, corporate and/or educational in nature. Personal,
commercial events and political fundraisers are not permitted. No implication can be made through written material or media relations that the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum is sponsoring the event or has endorsed the organization sponsoring the event.
• Activities that include exchange of funds on site are not permitted. No auctions, raffles, admission or registration fees collected at the door, sales promotion of goods and/or services, or cash bars are allowed on site. Alcoholic beverages are permitted in an open bar setting only. The serving of alcohol must end no later than one half hour before the conclusion of the event.
• All caterers, performers, entertainers and other service-related vendors servicing the event must notify the public programs specialist with the name of the person in charge of the group in order for them to check in with security upon arrival. All events must be professionally catered and approved by Library staff.
• Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the facility.
• Food and beverage are not allowed in the museum exhibit galleries and the auditoriums.
• Balloons, candles, potted plants and trees are not permitted anywhere in the facility.
• All deliveries for the event must be signed for by the organization sponsoring the event or its designated representative. Under no circumstances will the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum or any of its employees sign or assume responsibility for these deliveries.
Facility Descriptions and Rental Rates
• Reserve the date. Please contact us at the above address/phone number to see if your proposed date is available. We can place a hold on a date for a maximum of two weeks.
• When you contact us, we will provide you with an Application for Building Use, which lists requirements and guidelines for applicants and is required to confirm your date. When you return the application you should also include a Letter of Intent on your organization's letterhead.
• Your Letter of Intent should be sent before the two-week period has elapsed and should include the following:
1. Briefly describe your organization and its mission
2. State the purpose of your event
3. Indicate the date, time and approximate number of guests
4. List any speakers, performers, films or programs that will be part of your event

• If possible, please schedule a site visit prior to your event.
• The following must be approved in advance by the Library:
1. media coverage
2. speakers, performers, movies or programs
3. decorations that are fastened to any part of the building by any means
4. the serving of alcoholic beverages
• Sponsoring organizations and their designated contractors must review their plans with Library staff; and the plans must conform to Library rules and procedures and to pertinent fire, safety, and security regulations. Events which do not receive Library approval will be cancelled or altered to meet Library requirements.
