Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI):
ExxonMobil's
Proposal to Repair the C1 Power Cable: Lease OCS-P 0182, Santa Ynez
Unit, Santa Barbara Channel, Offshore Santa Barbara County
The MMS prepared the attached Environmental Assessment for
ExxonMobil's project, "Proposal to Repair the C1 Power Cable." In
this analysis, MMS determined that the following environmental
resources potentially could be affected by the proposed project: air
quality, water quality, benthic resources, commercial fishing,
cultural resources, and environmental justice. The MMS concluded
that potential impacts on all resources that could be affected
during the C1 cable repair project will be insignificant based on
significance criteria utilized in the analyses and that the
incremental increase of the proposed action to cumulative impacts is
negligible for all resources.
