FMC Announces New York Area Representative

Chairman Harold J. Creel, Jr., announced today that the Federal Maritime Commission has established an Area Representative in the New York/New Jersey port area. Mr. Emanuel J. Mingione, formerly a senior investigator with the Commission, has been selected as the New York Area Representative. Mr. Mingione will also serve the other major port cities and transportation centers within his respective area.
Like the existing four area representatives, Mr. Mingione will carry out the agency's enforcement and liaison activities through the use of up-to-date technologies in telecommunications and information systems. Mr. Mingione will spend most of his workdays in the field responding directly to industry concerns and investigative demands. He will be supported in his activities by headquarters staff.
