Graves Praises Kansas City International Airport Grant

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Congressman Sam Graves praised a grant for the Kansas City International Airport from the Airport Improvement Program today.  The $8.4 million for FY 2007 will be used for the rehabilitation of taxiways D, J and K.  These repairs will extend the useful life of the taxiways.

"This grant will allow Kansas City International to continue to serve the metropolitan area through on-time departures and arrivals,” said Graves, a strong proponent of the Airport Improvement Programs. “I’m pleased that we were able to make this money available for improvements.”

The money is part of the Airport Improvements Program designed to help airports across the country continue to make needed improvements to their infrastructure. Graves is a member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.
