The Cannon House Office Building, completed in 1908, is the oldest Congressional office building as well as a significant example of the Beaux Arts style of architecture. It occupies a site south of the Capitol bounded by Independence Avenue, First Street, New Jersey Avenue, and C Street S.E. To learn more about history and architecture of the Cannon House Office Building and the Capitol buildings, visit the web site of the Architect of the Capitol.

The Cannon House Office Building is only one block from the Capitol South Metro stop (Blue/Orange line). My office, Room 221, is in the northeast corner of the building. All Congressional office buildings are open to the public, Monday through Friday, during business hours. Please stop by the next time you are in Washington, DC!
