The U.S. House of Representatives collects aggregate
data about visits to House websites, such as statistics that show which
pages, links, or images of a website were visited the most. The following
information is also collected when you visit any U.S. House of Representatives
website: the domain from which you access the House website, the date and
time of your visit, the pages you visit, and the address of the website
that provided the link from which you reached the House site. This information
is gathered only for the purpose of enabling Members of Congress to improve
the online service we provide to visitors of our House websites.
No Individual Identifying or Personal Information
No individual or personal information (i.e. your
name) is automatically gathered when you visit a House website. My website
does not use "cookies" or any other means to track your visits.
If You Send Us Personal Information
My website is not programmed to draw any personal
information about you merely by visiting the site. We collect no personal
information about you unless you choose to provide us that information. The
website has an online web form that you can use to contact me by sending an
electronic message expressing your views or concerns. This online web form
asks you for your name, address, and e-mail address. The information you
provide is used solely to contact you about the matter on which you
expressed your views.
This information will be available to members
of my staff so they can assist me in responding to your message or request.
If we have any incorrect information about you, such as a wrong address
or misspelled name, please contact my office and we will correct our error.
If you are requesting tours of Washington attractions
or a flag to be flown over the U.S. Capitol, the contact information you
provide will be used by a member of my staff to fulfill that request and
to contact you about your request.
Other than when needed to perform constituent
casework at your request, or in the course of an authorized law enforcement
investigation or emergency posing an imminent risk to public safety, my
office will not share personal information communicated through my website
with any outside organization or individual.
