Postponement On September 8, 1998, the Department of Commerce (``the Department'') initiated a countervailing duty investigation of elastic rubber tape from India. On October 16, 1998, in accordance with section 351.205(e) of the Department's regulations (62 FR 27295, May 19, 1997), the petitioners made a timely request that the Department postpone its preliminary determination. As we find no compelling reasons to deny the petitioners' request, we are postponing the preliminary determination in this investigation to no later than November 30, 1998, pursuant to section 703(c)(1) of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended.
