Take notice that on January 30, 1998, GPU Advanced Resources, Inc., tendered for filing proposed changes in the Code of Conduct to which it has agreed to adhere in connection with its sales of electric energy and capacity at market-based rates. The proposed changes would, among other things, extend the application of the Code of Conduct to all power marketing affiliates of GPU, Inc., and would narrow certain limitations on transactions and information sharing to transactions and sharing among such power marketing affiliates and their public utility affiliates. Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. 20426, in accordance with Rule 211 and 214 of the Commission's Rules of Practice and Procedure (18 CFR 385.211 and 18 CFR 385.214). All such motions or protests should be filed on or before February 24, 1998. Protests will be considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to make protestants parties to the proceeding.
