AASLH Annual Meeting
On
September 9-12 in Rochester, NY, the American Association of
State and Local History (AASLH) will host its annual conference,
with this year's theme "Discovering the Power of Transformation."
The history profession is a steward of a great transformative
power – the power of ideas, people, and places. This power
is evidenced throughout American, state, and local history. History
organizations see this
power of transformation as they interact with the public,
whether it is using an historical character to inspire a young
person to make a difference in their world or providing historical
context for an important contemporary issue.

Meeting webpage.
