Bellevue Art Museum's Pacific Northwest Arts Fair

The 53-year-old fair, ranked number four fine arts fair in the country by Sunshine Arts Magazine, draws more than 280,000 visitors. Displays include such diverse works as handmade paper, blown glass, metal sculpture, pottery, woven pieces, and painted silk clothing. Proceeds from the three-day event support the Bellevue Art Museum, providing one-third of its annual operating budget. Programs include a kids' fair, artist demo stage, celebration arts stage, hands-on activities for families, performing artists, free museum admission, and preview party. The project is documented by photographs, a written report, and a video entitled "Art: A Fair Legacy."
