Purpose
Recover two benthic chambers in Hingham Bay
and collect several diver-collected push cores.
The benthic chambers were previously deployed by WHOI scientists
Bill Martin and Joanne Goudreau on 6/16/04 from the Rafael (HB-0604).
Information to be Derived
Samples and Chemical Analysis
Summary
Recovered 2 benthic chambers in Hingham Bay (Station 8) and
collected 3 diver-collected push cores.
The benthic chambers were previously deployed by WHOI scientists
Bill Martin and Joanne Goudreau on 6/16/04 from the Rafael (HB-0604).
Core 8-3 had pre-installed fins for erosion chamber experiment.
Cores 8-1 and 8-2 were shorter.
All cores were retained by WHOI.
One station occupied.
Notes
Navigation Techniques: Drysuits is necessary in the cold water. Due to shallow water depth (~20 feet), NITROX is not needed.
Got Help? For 04054, we would appreciate any information on -- analog materials, contract, days at sea, dive count, funding, kms of navigation, national plan, NGDC Info, owner, project number, publications, scanned materials, seismic description, station count, station description, submersible, tabulated info.
