Equipment Used
slowcore
Purpose
Collect sediment cores at stations 2 and 3 for measurements
or pore water profiles, erosion, solid phase chemistry. Collect
bottom water at station 2.
Information to be Derived
Samples and Chemical Analysis;
Summary
7 cores were collected from station 3. 2 cores collected
from station 2. About 10 gallons of bottom water were collected at
station 2. All core cutting (for pore water) and erosion
experiments were conducted after transporting cores back to the lab
in Woods Hole.
Notes
1 days at sea.
2 stations occupied.
Funding
USGS and Sea Grant
