RE:    Issuance of Interstate Roster and Referral Guide (IRG) Additional "Address Type 2’s"

Dear Colleague:

The purpose of this letter is to provide you with a list of "Address Type 2’s" that have been added to the existing IRG record layout. "Address Type 2’s" have been added to support States’ business process requirements and to more accurately reflect the various categories of addresses used by States. Please note that these additional address types have not affected the size of the record layout.

The additional "Address Type 2’s" correspond with the address types currently seen in the download. However, over the next several months, the Federal Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE) in conjunction with States will be analyzing the address types in the IRG and possibly making recommendations about the use of various address types.

If you have any questions, please contact Angela Kasey at (202) 205-3423 or via e-mail at akasey@acf.hhs.gov.

OCSE would like to express our appreciation to the States for your continuing contribution to the IRG.

Sincerely,

Donna J. Bonar
Associate Commissioner
for Office of Automation and Program Operations
Office of Child Support Enforcement
