RE:        Federal Offset Program PY 2000 Fees

Dear Colleague:

Treasury’s Financial Management Service (FMS) has provided OCSE with the offset fees for Processing Year (PY) 2000. Effective January 1, 2000, a Federal income tax refund offset is $8.10, and the fee for administrative offset $9.65 per offset.

In addition, if OCSE issues your Pre-Offset Notices (PON), the fee is now $ .48 per notice. This covers the cost of the envelopes, as well as the printing, stuffing and mailing of the notices. The $ .48 fee will be charged for all notices mailed for PY 2000.
