Attached please find a Solicitation for Comment in Connection With a Study Being Conducted by the Department of the Treasury Relating to the Scope and Use of Provisions Regarding Taxpayer Confidentiality. This is an opportunity to offer comments on many of the concerns raised during the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) reviews of your child support office.

Please note that the turn-around time on this is short, as written comments must be received at the Department of Treasury by November 15, 1999. Your written comments should be sent directly to Elizabeth P. Askey, Office of Tax Legislative Counsel, Department of the Treasury, 1500 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Room 1321A, Washington, DC 20220.
