Weather & Climate Physics Branch
Dr. Chris Fairall, Lead
Researchers study the Arctic for signs of climate change.
The Weather & Climate Physics Branch's mission is to advance the understanding, parameterization, and measurement of weather- and climate-relevant physical processes. This includes air-sea, air-land, and air-ice interactions; clouds and cloud-radiative forcing; turbulence; and boundary layers with applications such as air quality, flux algorithms, wave propagation, and observing systems.
