GRID FILE FORMAT

Two files are contained in each compressed file – [name].dat (grid of depth values) and [name].prj (map projection). The files were generated using the ArcInfo command GRIDASCII and can be imported using the inverse command ASCIIGRID or the depths can be read by user written code. The first five lines describe the size of the grid, null value and define the lower left world coordinate of the grid.
