Dear Colleague:

The Federal Office of Child Support Enforcement published two notices in the Federal Register on December 19, 2003 (68 FR 70810 and 70811) requesting comments on the UIFSA standard interstate forms and the National Medical Support Notice and related annual burden estimates. The notices are attached.

We are proposing revisions to the UIFSA standard interstate forms and instructions, based on comments received in response to DCL-03-22, dated July 29, 2003, as well as comments received at the 13th National Training Conference workshop on revising the forms.

We have not yet made any determination on whether and how to revise the National Medical Support Notice.

If you wish to comment on these forms and instructions or on the related burden estimate, please follow the instructions for public comment in the attached notices. Be sure to reference the OMB number associated with the forms you are addressing:

OMB No. 0970-0222 for the National Medical Support Notice
OMB No. 0970-0085 for the UIFSA standard interstate forms

Consideration will be given to comments and suggestions submitted within 60 days of the Federal Register notices (by February 17, 2004).
