RE: Schedule for Processing Year (PY) 2001 Collections

Dear Colleague:

Based on discussions during our monthly State conference calls and meetings with IV-D Directors, the Federal Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE) is pleased to announce Federal offset collections will be reported and distributed to States every two weeks in PY2001. We hope this will alleviate some of the timing issues associated with collections in prior years.

Enclosed is the collection schedule for PY2001, effective with the first collection file transmitted February 9, 2001 and deposited February 15, 2001. The OCSE Process Date is the actual date OCSE intends to process the collection file. However, the File to State and Transfer of Funds dates are Financial Management Service’s (FMS) and Public Health Service’s (PHS) estimates. We will continue to advise States of actual reporting and deposit dates via Dear Colleague Letter and E-Flash.
